Q1.What is CoolLaser?
This is a technology to remove rust, paint, etc. on the surface of objects by instantaneously melting, evaporating, and thermally crushing them by irradiating a high-power laser beam focused on a single point while rotating it at high speed in a circular motion.
Generally, laser equipment is vulnerable to dust and other environmental factors and is mostly used in well-maintained indoor environments. However, our CoolLaser system is the world's first outdoor laser equipment developed specifically for rust and paint removal with a high power output with several kilowatts.
Q2.What kinds of things is it utilized for?
It is utilized to remove rust and coating film, mainly on infrastructure structures such as bridges. Recently, it has also been utilized to remove white rust from hot dip galvanizing on steel towers and other structures. We are also developing this technology for surface treatment of concrete objects.
Q3.What are the advantages of using the system?
(Salt removal effect)
It can significantly remove salt, which is considered a corrosion factor for steel materials, and is expected to prolong the life of structures.
(Waste minimization)
Laser surface treatment melts and evaporates rust and paint films without using treatment materials such as sand or water, thus significantly reducing the amount of industrial waste.

Q4.Is there anything that cannot be utilized?
(Materials)
Not suitable for highly reflective materials such as stainless steel, thin materials or flammable materials.
(Regarding plant facilities)
In addition, we do not currently offer cleaning services for molds and other components in factory facilities. However, we can introduce equipment (products) suitable for such needs.
(For contract processing)
We do not engage in contract processing, where we receive products from our customers and process them to suit special purpose. Currently, we are mainly engaged in infrastructure maintenance for bridges and other structures.

Q6.Are there any qualifications required to use lasers outdoors?
There are no official qualifications required to use lasers outdoors, including CoolLaser. For this reason, we are currently participating in the activities of the "Laser Construction Research Association" to develop safety guidelines and a qualification system for the use of lasers outdoors. We are considering selling the equipment in the future. We plan to sell the equipment once rentals are established and a support system is in place.

We are considering expanding overseas in the future, but we are not yet to proceed at this time.
For the time being, we will focus on activities to promote the use of our products in Japan.
